About Us
Sentinel Steel PLC is in existence in Ethiopia since December 2013 and is engaged in manufacturing and supply of quality steel TMT rebars and wire rod products to the construction industry. It’s manufacturing facility is located in Bishoftu, Oromia State, Ethiopia, approximately 50 km South East of Addis Ababa. The company’s manufacturing facility is intended to serve the burgeoning demand for quality steel in the Ethiopian construction sector.
The manufacturing operations of the company began in 2016, following the commissioning of its hot rolling mill. The steel plant has an initial installed capacity of hot rolling capacity of 120,000 – 150,000 metric tonnes per annum (tpa) of TMT rebars and 180,000 tpa of wire rod.
Sentinel’s Products
Sentinel Steel’s finished products are steel TMT bars for concrete reinforcement (also known as Rib Bars or Rebars) and Steel wire rods.
Sentinel Steel’s steel TMT bars are designed with vertical and transverse ribs on the surface as per international standard requirements. These forms of vertical ribs are widely used for all kinds of building structures.
Sentinel Steel’s high quality, PRECISION TMT reinforcement bars are produced in grades 75 and 60. Other grades can also be manufactured and supplied on specific orders.
Sentinel Steel’s PRECISION TMT rebars are produced with standard diameters of 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 20mm, 24mm, 25mm, 28mm and 32mm in 12 meters standard lengths. Loading is done in straight or bend conditions as per customers’ requirements.
The plant produces high quality and precision reinforcement bars with grade 75 and 60. Other grades can also be manufactured and supplied on specific orders. The Diameters produced includes 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 20mm, 24mm, 25mm, 28mm and 32mm in 12 meter lengths which are dispatched in straight or bend conditions as per customers’ requirements.
