Gutema Firisa Construction (GFC), a sole proprietorship, was established in 2000 E.C. (2008 G.C.) under the provisions of Article 313 of Ethiopia’s Commercial Code. Founded by Gutema Firisa, GFC entered the construction market with a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality services.

Over the years, the organization has grown into a Class 1 General Contractor, managing a diverse project portfolio valued at over 11 billion birr. From its inception, GFC has been driven by a vision to create a globally competitive construction company rooted in excellence, integrity, and people-centered growth. For over 17 years, GFC has played a pivotal role in Ethiopia’s construction industry, contributing to infrastructure development and creating job opportunities for countless individuals across the country.

Our journey Since its establishment, Gutema Firisa Construction has completed and is working on 49 projects, ranging from building construction to critical infrastructure. This includes 36 building projects, five road construction projects, one irrigation dam, two fence projects, one bus terminal, and one bridge. These projects, collectively valued at over 11 billion birr, reflect GFC’s commitment to quality and innovation. By fostering robust organizational systems and empowering skilled human capital, GFC continues to shape Ethiopia’s built environment while driving economic growth through job creation.
